The Police Traffic Services Program provides financial assistance to Louisiana law enforcement agencies for overtime expenses during high-visibility traffic safety campaigns. The agencies agree to participate in enhanced enforcement of occupant protection, child passenger safety, and impaired driving laws. Examples of these programs include the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's "Click It or Ticket" and "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" national mobilizations and other identified state enforcement waves. Law enforcement agencies conduct patrols and deploy resources based on statewide data and crash analysis.
